The Labuan International Insurance Association has over 100 members involved in many different aspects of the insurance and reinsurance business – from  Labuan Life Insurance Broking companies to International Reinsurance Broking and Underwriting companies, Captive Insurance and Reinsurance companies as well as Management and Accounting services.

The Labuan International Insurance Association was registered with the Registrar of Societies on 25th May 1998.

The objective for which the association is established are:-

  • To obtain and represent the views of the membership and to represent these views to the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) .
  • To promote and represent the interests of the membership by only means and methods consistent with the laws of the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre of the Federal Territory of Labuan.
  • To take note of all events, statements and expressions of opinion affecting the membership to advise it thereon and to represent its interests by expression of views thereon on its behalf.
  • To work in conjunction with any legal body or any chamber or committee or commission appointed or to be appointed for the consideration, framing, amendment or alteration of any law relating to insurance.

Membership shall be open to all companies in the territory, which are licensed under the Labuan Insurance Act 1990 to transact insurance business.

Stuart Anthony Yeomans stepped off the board, because he has changed his insurance license to Asset/Fund Management to launch Farringdon Group’s new product called “Algebra”
